There's a new member of the SCCA kiln family, and we need YOU to choose a name, make a gift, and power the kiln!

Adding kiln #4 has been a long-time dream of ours, and we cannot wait to get it firing, but before we do that, we need your help to decide what its name should be! These names have been crowd sourced from the SCCA potter community and, then, narrowed down by staff to the top 4 names. Now, YOU can vote on your favorite! Making your choice is simple:

2. Make a suggested $4 donation. $4 = 1 vote. You can vote multiple times or make a bulk donation for your top choice: $20 = 5 votes; $40 = 10 votes; $60 = 15 votes; $80 = 20 votes
3. Submit your vote! Voting is open until 9pm on June 25th, with the winning name to be revealed on June 27th.

So what are the other kiln names? What's their story?

• Kiln #1 a.k.a Sparky: Sparky is an OG SCCA kiln, having served our clay community since at least 2017. His fuse box gives us the most trouble (hence the name Sparky). He may have some issues, but he's still #1 in our hearts.
• Kiln #2 a.k.a. Jalapeno: Spicy and fiesty, Jalapeno is another OG SCCA kiln, but unlike Sparky, his fuse box is the least of our worries. He changes elements like he changes clothes and demands the most attention of all the kilns. He keeps us on our toes, but we love him all the same.
• Kiln #3 a.k.a. Baby: Yes, she's in the corner. No, she doesn't want to hear another Dirty Dancing reference. Baby is the smallest of the SCCA kilns and is usually reserved for bisque firings. She's our most reliable gal, but don't put any mischief past her. Like a Sour Patch Kid, she can be sweet and sour, but we think her sweet moments outweigh the sour ones.
